You will have to believe me if I tell you that I put on at least 2 kg weight when I spent 5 days in Ipoh!! This little town is well known for its traditional hawker food and authentic Chinese snacks. Ipoh is Food Paradise! From egg tarts, soy bean milk, Indian Muslim nasi kandar, white coffee and kaya toast, chee cheong fun, very fine delicate kway teow in soup to die for, steamed chicken with beansprouts, baked salt chicken, loads of pomelos to baked Chinese style biscuits and lard laden melt in the mouth pastries. Don’t leave Ipoh without downing the famous “pulled”, creamy and frothy sweet white coffee. No fine dining restaurants for me when in Ipoh!
